Are dogs allowed?
We are dog friendly and we even offer welcome treats, dog bed, bowls, and towels for furry friends.
The location is perfect for long dog walks.
Can children stay?
There is a sturdy king-sized sofa bed in the living room which is suitable for young children.
Is the cottage on a working farm?
Blackside Farm is not a working farm but there are 3 farms surrounding that are. You will have to drive along a farm track, which is open to sheep grazing to reach Blackside Cottage.
In the summer there are cattle and an accompanying bull.
Does the cottage have broadband?
The cottage has broadband supplied by Starlink satellite. A download speed of up to 200 Mbps is ideal for streaming media.
Is the kitchen fully stocked?
The kitchen is fully stocked with numerous cooking utensils, pots and pans, cooking utensil, crockery and cutlery. We hope that we have thought of everything.
Is there an outdoor sitting area?
There is a table and chairs and BBQ outside the cottage.
Does the property have a licence?
Yes we are fully licenced under the recent Scottish Short Term Let legislation.

Are there any cleaning fees or additional charges?
Everything is included in your stay. There are no additional fees or deposits.
Do we supply logs?
There is a large basket of logs supplied on arrival and when they run out just ask and we will deliver more!
Do guests need to bring anything?
The cottage will be stocked with all consumables including, dishwasher and washing tablets, hand soap in kitchen and bathroom shampoo and shower gel etc, so you shouldn't require to bring anything.
